CLEARED BEFORE THE GATE, FED ON YOUR ROSTER

Food Truck Catering for Transport, Ports and Aviation

Your site runs around the clock and half of it needs a pass to get into. We send crew and vehicle details ahead, park where you clear us, and serve across the shift changes so the night crew is not living on what the day crew left.

The short answer

Food truck catering for a Sydney transport, port or aviation operation runs from $18 to $35 per head plus GST, all inclusive, with a minimum of 60 guests. For access controlled sites we send crew names, licence details and vehicle registration and dimensions ahead of the day, along with our certificate of currency and food safety documentation. We serve in waves to match a shift roster, and we cover early starts with a breakfast service as well as lunch. Every truck runs on its own generator, gas and water.

Constraint one: getting through the gate

On a controlled site, access is decided weeks before the food.

A distribution hub, a port terminal or anything near a runway has a gate that does not open for a truck it has never heard of. If the paperwork is not sorted early, the truck sits outside while your crew stands around inside wondering where lunch is. So we do that part first.

As soon as the booking is confirmed we can send crew names and licence details, vehicle registration and dimensions, our certificate of currency for $20M public liability, and our food safety documentation. If your site runs its own induction or pass process, send us the pack and we will complete it rather than hoping to do it on the day. We are used to being escorted, restricted to one area, and kept well away from anything operational.

Where the truck stands matters too. The fleet runs from 7 metres up to 11.5 metres long, 2.5 metres wide and 3.5 metres high, with about 2 metres clear either side to serve and 3.7 metres or more of overhead clearance being comfortable. We do not go into underground car parks. Send us a Google pin of the spot you have cleared and we will check the approach and the turning circle on a map before anyone commits.

Constraint two: the site never stops

Day shift, night shift, and the 5am start that usually gets missed.

Transport does not keep office hours, and a staff day that only feeds the people on site between twelve and one has quietly missed most of the roster. The crews who start before dawn, and the ones who are still moving freight at ten at night, are the ones who most notice being forgotten.

So we plan around the roster rather than the clock. Tell us when the shifts change and roughly how many people fall on each side, and we set the service window to catch them. For the early crew we run a breakfast service: bacon and egg rolls and a menu tailored to the site, from $2,000 for two hours plus GST on weekdays. For the main window we serve in waves and keep cooking between them, so the last crew through still gets something hot.

On throughput, a straightforward menu gets about three orders out every sixty seconds, and quicker on the simple items. If your breaks are short, tell us the exact minutes and we will cut the menu to what genuinely moves. And because every truck carries its own generator, gas and water, we can stand somewhere with no services at all, which on a yard or an apron is usually exactly where you want us.

Start to finish

How a depot, port or airside booking runs.

1

Tell us the roster and the access rules

Headcount by shift, the date, and whatever your site needs to clear a vehicle and a crew. Say so in the first message and we will start the pass process straight away rather than at the end.

2

We clear the truck and the crew before the date

Names, licences, vehicle registration and dimensions, certificate of currency and food safety records, all sent for your security and safety teams. If there is an induction pack, we complete it.

3

We confirm the standing spot on a map

A Google pin is all we need. We check the approach, the turning circle and the clearance, and agree a spot that is well clear of anything operational.

4

We arrive early, serve the shifts, and pack down clean

Set up escorted if that is the rule, run entirely on our own supply, serve across your windows, then take our rubbish with us. One tax invoice with GST broken out, on terms of 7 to 14 days, with your PO number on it.

A distribution centre family day

Coles · Kemps Creek · 800 guests · booked for September 2026

A large access controlled distribution site, 800 staff and their families booked in for September 2026, and an all halal menu so the whole crowd can eat the same thing. The site rules, the standing spot and the run sheet were agreed well before the day.

The result. A restricted logistics site fed at scale without asking the facility for anything. That is the plan.

White Fox, a warehouse crew on a short break

Warehouse · 150 staff · focused menu

A deliberately tight menu, chosen by the client for speed rather than by us for convenience. On a short break the narrow menu is the one that gets everybody fed, and we said so.

The result. 150 staff served inside a short break because the menu was built for the clock.

John Holland, 220 on a live site

220 serves · 2 hour window · booked in 3 days

A controlled construction site, a fixed window, and a truck that arrived self contained and served 220 without needing anything from the site around it, three days after the first message.

The result. All 220 fed inside two hours from one truck.

FAQ

What operations and security teams ask us.

How much does it cost to cater 200 staff across two shifts?

Most corporate jobs run between $18 and $35 per head plus GST, all inclusive of the truck, crew, setup, equipment and pack down. The rate falls as the headcount rises, and it moves with how many of our four trucks are still free on your date. A longer service window to cover two shifts is priced as part of the same quote. Send us the date, the roster and the numbers and we will come back with a real figure, usually within the hour.

Can you supply crew and vehicle details for a site pass or airside clearance?

Yes, and we would rather do it early. We can send crew names and licence details, vehicle registration and dimensions, our certificate of currency for $20M public liability, and our food safety documentation. If your site runs its own induction or pass process, send us the pack when you confirm and we will complete it before the day.

Can you do an early breakfast for the dawn shift?

Yes. We run a breakfast service with bacon and egg rolls and a menu tailored to the site, from $2,000 for two hours plus GST on weekdays. It suits a shift change or a start of day briefing, and it can run into a lunch service on the same booking if you want both crews covered.

Do you need power, water or gas from the site?

No. Every truck carries its own generator, gas and water on board, so we can stand somewhere with no services at all. Nothing plugs into your supply and there is no work order to raise. We just need a flat, safe spot with enough clearance to serve.

How far ahead do we need to book?

For a controlled site, as far ahead as your pass process needs, because that is usually the slowest part. Our own fastest genuine turnaround is 24 hours, and we recently fed 220 people on a site three days after the first message. If your date is close it is still worth asking. If we cannot do it properly we will say so.
