At the precinct

Food truck catering for Sydney Olympic Park events.

Sydney Olympic Park is built for crowds. Arenas, expo halls, the showground and the open spaces around Homebush host some of the biggest events in the city, and feeding a lot of people quickly is its own kind of challenge. That is the part we are good at. We bring the truck in, set up self-contained with our own power and water, and serve hot food fast so your guests are not stuck in a queue while the day moves on without them.

We have toured major music festivals and we come back year after year to a Sydney showground BBQ festival, so a high foot-traffic floor is familiar ground. Whether you are running an expo activation, a venue function or a staff day, choose your cuisine and we will handle the rest.

What we cater here

Expo, staff day and venue activation menus.

Expos and trade shows

Keep an expo floor fed between sessions without long lines. We work to your run sheet, set up in your service zone, and serve fast so people get back to the stands.

Venue and brand activations

A truck makes a great centrepiece for a product launch or brand day at the precinct. We have done activations for the likes of Optus and Sony, and we make the food part of the experience.

Corporate and staff days

Offices and teams around Homebush and the precinct book us for staff lunches, team days and end-of-year functions. Fast service, simple invoicing, a clear GST tax invoice.

Six cuisines, one booking

Korean fried chicken, American BBQ, all-halal snack packs and kebabs, Tex-Mex tacos, Belgian frites and pizza, with breakfast on offer too. Mix cuisines for a bigger crowd so everyone finds something.

Built for crowds

Fast service for high foot traffic.

At a busy event, queue speed is everything. We usually get about three orders out every 60 seconds depending on the menu, which is what keeps a line at an expo or activation moving instead of snaking across the floor. A single truck comfortably serves 60 to 600 guests, so most events run brilliantly on one truck.

For the really big numbers, above about 500 or whenever you ask, we add a truck across our fleet of six cuisines to keep service brisk and give guests a choice. We carry $20M public liability insurance and turn up early, set up out of the way, and leave the space as we found it. Touring festivals and a returning showground spot have taught us how to run smoothly when the foot traffic is heavy.

Pricing

Pricing, minimums and no metro travel fee.

Our pricing starts from $18 per head plus GST, all inclusive, with a minimum of 60 guests. Most events land between $18 and $35 per head plus GST depending on the menu and the style of event, and that covers your serving staff, all equipment, setup and pack-down. No surprises bolted on at the end.

Sydney Olympic Park sits inside metro Sydney, so there is no metro travel fee. Regional NSW has a transparent travel component and interstate is quoted case by case, but for the precinct itself the price is the price. Want the detail on numbers? Access and logistics

Venue approvals, access and event logistics.

A precinct like Sydney Olympic Park runs on schedules, and we work to them. If you have booked a venue or your event organiser controls the space, the approvals usually sit with them and we slot straight into the plan, coordinating load-in windows, set-up times and our service zone so nothing clashes with the rest of the event.

On private property the set-up is straightforward. For open or shared precinct spaces, approval from the venue or precinct authority is needed first, so we cannot simply pull up on a public area and start. The good news is our trucks are council approved with many NSW councils and we help with the paperwork, so the access side is one less thing on your list.

FAQ

Sydney Olympic Park questions, answered.

Where can you set up at Sydney Olympic Park?

On private property, inside a venue you have booked, or in a space your event organiser controls, we are good to go with safe access and a flat spot. Open public areas, parklands and shared precinct spaces are different: they need approval from the venue or the precinct authority first, so we cannot simply pull up on a public area and start serving. Our trucks are council approved with many NSW councils, and we help with the paperwork. Tell us where you are setting up and we will check what your spot needs.

Do you cater at Sydney Olympic Park?

Yes. We cater events right across the Sydney Olympic Park precinct, from venue activations and expo floors near the showground and the arenas to staff days and corporate functions around Homebush. Big crowds are familiar territory for us, so the logistics of a busy precinct are something we plan for, not something we panic about.

Can you cater expos or venue events?

Absolutely. Expos, trade shows, conference breaks and venue activations are a natural fit for a food truck. We are a returning vendor at a major Sydney showground BBQ festival and we have toured major music festivals, so feeding a high foot-traffic floor is well within our wheelhouse. We coordinate load-in times, set-up windows and service zones with the venue so everything runs to schedule.

How much does Olympic Park catering cost?

From $18 per head plus GST, all inclusive, with a minimum of 60 guests. Most events land between $18 and $35 per head plus GST depending on the menu and the style of event. That covers your serving staff, setup and pack-down, and there is no metro travel fee for Sydney Olympic Park. We quote per event and usually come back within the hour.

Can one truck serve a busy event?

Yes. A single truck comfortably serves 60 to 600 guests, and we usually get about three orders out every 60 seconds depending on the menu. That throughput is exactly what keeps a queue moving at a busy expo or activation. We add a truck only when you ask, or for events above about 500, so you are never paying for more than you need.

Do we need venue approval?

If you have booked a venue or your organiser controls the space, they usually handle the approvals and we slot into their plan. For open or shared precinct areas, approval from the venue or precinct authority is needed first. Our trucks are council approved with many NSW councils and we help with the paperwork, so you are not left working it out on your own.

Can you provide multiple cuisines?

Yes. We run four trucks across six cuisines: Birdman Korean fried chicken, American BBQ, Abu all-halal snack packs and kebabs, Tex-Mex tacos, Nillas Belgian frites and pizza, with breakfast as an added offering. For a bigger expo or activation you can have more than one cuisine on site so guests get a real choice, which works well when you are feeding a varied crowd all day.

Can you cater dietary requirements?

We can. Everything on our snack pack truck is all halal, our kebabs are cooked over the flame, and we carry vegan, vegetarian and dairy-free options. Snack packs are gluten free, and we can do gluten free wraps on request, though our trucks handle gluten so we cannot guarantee zero cross contact. Tell us what your crowd needs and we will build the menu around it.

How quickly can we get a quote?

Fast. Send through your date, rough guest count and the venue or space at Sydney Olympic Park, and we usually reply within the hour with a clear, all inclusive quote. The more detail you give us up front, the tighter the quote comes back.
