The whole family back at the house after the ceremony, grandparents to toddlers. A food truck in the driveway feeds everyone hot food made to order, and the hosts get to hold the baby instead of the tongs. From $18 per head plus GST, minimum 60 guests.
The easy way to feed a family lunch
Christenings · Naming days · Baptisms · Family lunches
A christening lunch has a way of growing. Both sets of grandparents, the godparents and their families, cousins, a handful of toddlers, and neighbours who have known you for years. By the time everyone is back from the ceremony there are more people in the backyard than you catered for, and someone is stuck at the barbecue missing the photos.
A food truck fixes that. We set up out of the way, feed everyone hot food made to order, and pack down without touching your kitchen. Pick your cuisine and we will match it to a crowd that spans four generations.
Fried chicken, sliders, loaded fries and tacos with the spice dialled down, and chicken nuggets for the little ones who will not eat anything else.
Self contained with our own power and water, so we slot into a backyard, a driveway or a church hall car park with nothing to clean up after.
We open as the family arrives back, and a standard two hour service covers a long lunch. Tell us the service time and we plan around it.
Vegetarian and vegan choices, an all halal snack pack truck, gluten free snack packs, and mild options for guests who prefer them.
Yes. A christening or naming day lunch is usually a daytime family gathering: grandparents, cousins, godparents, a lot of kids, and everyone back at the house or a hall after the ceremony. A food truck feeds that crowd properly without the hosts spending the day in the kitchen.
Both. A backyard, a driveway or a hall car park with a flat, safe spot is all we need. We are fully self contained with our own power and water. If the gathering is on public land like a park or reserve, that needs council approval first, and we help with the paperwork.
Our minimum is 60 guests. If your numbers are a little under, we can still talk. The price reflects a full truck, crew and stock rather than scaling down per head.
Plenty. Fried chicken, sliders, loaded fries and tacos are all big hits with younger guests, and we can dial the spice right down. We can also do chicken nuggets. Every truck carries vegetarian and vegan choices, and our snack pack truck is all halal. Tell us what your guests need when you enquire and we will plan the menu.
Whenever the ceremony finishes. Most christening lunches run early to mid afternoon, so we time the truck to open as the family arrives back. A standard service runs around two hours, which covers most gatherings.
